Atholl T. Malcolm, Ph.D, R.Psych, CD1
Dr. Malcolm has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in neuropsychology from the University of Manitoba. In addition to 18 years in general clinical practice, Dr. Malcolm has 16 years of forensic experience in which capacity he provides evidence as an expert witness in legal proceedings. Also, he provides comprehensive reports to various agencies including legal firms.
Dr. Malcolm has developed an expertise in treating certain specialty populations. These include members of the military, First Nations people, victims of crime, the RCMP, other police forces & front-line service workers and their families.

Formerly the chair of the Department of Psychology and Applied Leadership at Royal Roads Military College, Dr. Malcolm is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Victoria.

Scott Bezeau, Ph.D., R.Psych
Dr. Bezeau completed his doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology at the University of Victoria.
His internship training was completed at SCO Health Services in Ottawa, Ontario where he focused on geriatric neuropsychology, including assessments for dementia and various neurological conditions.
Dr. Bezeau's interests include neuropsychology, traumatic and critical incident stress, and forensic issues. His clinical orientation is cognitive-behavioural, with an additional emphasis on mindfulness strategies. He has been an associate of A.T. Malcolm & Associates Inc. since January 2005.

George Bielay, MSc., RMFT
Mr. Bielay has a Master’s degree from the University of Guelph. He is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist, a full Clinical Member of the BC Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (BCAMFT) and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT, Member 30360).
Over his 14 years experience, he has worked in several addiction treatment facilities serving a broad population group, and has developed an expertise in all aspects of addictions and relationship issues, anger management, depression and anxiety. He has taught at the post secondary level and also provides clinical supervision on an ongoing basis to other therapists.
He works from a collaborative, goal-oriented perspective, helping people build concrete, realistic solutions for themselves. Mr. Bielay uses an integrative therapeutic approach, incorporating aspects of Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused and Narrative therapy, in addition to EMDR.
Vanessa Charvin, M.A., R.C.C.
Ms. Charvin received her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in the province of BC. She completed her clinical training at Child and Youth Mental Health with preschoolers, school-aged children and teens.
With 10 years as a licensed Special Needs Early Childhood Educator, and 9 working in Early Intervention as a child development specialist, Ms. Charvin enjoys working with young children and their families. With a thorough understanding of child development, she is able to adapt various therapeutic modalities to suit the developmental level and affinities of every child.
Her particular interests are childhood anxiety, working with children with challenging behaviours and helping children develop social and problem solving skills. She enjoys running parenting groups, providing individual and group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to young and school-aged children, and consulting with caregivers and parents about child development, behavioural challenges, social, and learning issues. Ms. Charvin is available Friday and Saturday afternoons to accommodate family, school and child care arrangements.
Patrick Corney, PhD., R.Psych.
Dr. Corney completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan and his Doctoral Internship in Clinical Neuropsychology at SCO Health Service in Ottawa, Ontario. Prior to joining AT Malcolm and Associates in April, 2010, he worked at the Rehabilitation Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where his clients included individuals with traumatic brain injuries and strokes. Dr. Corney’s interests include providing neuropsychological assessment and cognitive rehabilitation services to adults of all ages. He also enjoys working with older adults and has experience in providing assessments for diagnoses of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Additionally, Dr. Corney provides counseling services to individuals adjusting to injury or illness, and cognitive behavioural therapy to individuals with problems such as depression and anxiety.

Shauna Darcangelo, Ph.D., R.Psych.
Dr. Shauna Darcangelo completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Simon Fraser University in 1996. She received her doctoral internship training at the Toronto General Hospital and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in forensic psychology at Patton State Hospital in California.
Dr. Darcangelo has been employed in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings including Correctional Services of Canada and Forensic Hospitals in the US. She currently maintains a position at Adult Forensic Psychiatric Services. Dr. Darcangelo has completed Level 2 training in EMDR and is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). As a member of the CISM team at the Regional Psychiatric Centre (CSC), she conducted defusings/ debriefings with corrections officers and civilians following critical incidents (i.e., hostage-taking, assaults on staff, suicides, etc). She is currently a member of the CISM team with the Victoria Police Department.
Her interests include posttraumatic stress, depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, relationship problems, self-esteem, motivation, and forensic issues. Her primary clinical orientation is cognitive-behavioural with an emphasis on maintaining balance in one’s life.
Dr. Darcangelo is experienced in the provision of both individual and group psychotherapy.

Kim Fitzer, B.Ed.,M.Sc.
Ms. Fitzer completed her M.Sc. in cognitive and educational psychology at the University of Calgary, Alberta. She is a certified school psychologist in the province of British Columbia.
Ms. Fitzer’s training includes dynamic assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescent behavioral and learning problems, child and adolescent development, child and adolescent psychopathology, education, family and parenting practices, learning theories, and personality theories. Ms. Fitzer consults with teachers, school personnel, family physicians and psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals about children and adolescents. Her internship was completed with the Calgary Board of Education working with adolescents with severe mental health and learning needs.
Psychological and psycho-educational assessments are conducted from the perspective of the child’s strengths and using those strengths to support areas of cognitive, academic, and behavioral needs. Remedial strategies are aimed at assisting the child/adolescent, families, and school.
Tamara Goranson, Ph.D, R.Psych.
Dr. Goranson completed her Ph.D. studies in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology at the University of Victoria and her internship year at the London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital in London, Ontario. She has been practicing Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology in private practice for the last three years, providing consultation, assessment, diagnostic, and treatment services to various outpatient populations including those suffering from alcohol and drug addictions, posttraumatic stress, anxiety disorders, depression, schizophrenia, relationship stress, and various adjustment difficulties.
Dr. Goranson's special interests are psychological and neuropsychological assessments, behavioural medicine, and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. She enjoys working with military members, veterans, and older adults. Her work with seniors has focused on establishing dementia diagnoses, conducting competency evaluations, making recommendations for hospital discharge planning, and providing supportive counseling to caregivers, older adults experiencing complicated grief reactions, and those suffering from other mental health difficulties.
She has consulted to various neurologists and neurosurgeons, providing expert opinions regarding the neuropsychological profiles of adults with various neurological and medical conditions. Dr. Goranson's approach is to address mental health issues from a "whole person" perspective including the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of an individual. She is committed to bringing people to health and wholeness using Cognitive Behavioural therapeutic approaches.

Leah Hatton Ph.D., R.Psych
Dr. Hatton has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan. She completed her doctoral internship training at the Calgary Consortium in Clinical Psychology in Alberta. Prior to joining AT Malcolm and Associates in 2010, she worked for the Saskatoon Health Region. Her particular interests are in the assessment and treatment of adults with anxiety and mood disorders, traumatic and critical incident stress, relationship problems, and low self-esteem. Her primary clinical orientation is cognitive-behavioural. In addition to the assessment and and treatment of emotional issues, she has an interest in the assessment of adult learning disabilities.

Megan Keilty
Megan Keilty currently holds a Masters degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Victoria. She is currently employed as a psychometrist and neurotechnician.
Peter Kells, C.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Kells has a Research Doctorate in Sociology, with specialties in Labour- Management Relations and Quality of Worklife Assessment, from York University in Toronto. His areas of expertise include: Organizational Development, Organizational Behaviour, Management Science and Human Resources Management.
Formerly a tenured Business Faculty professor and Administrative Studies course director in Ontario's Universities and Colleges system, Dr. Kells specialized in the development, delivery and assessment of Management and Workforce training packages. During this time he consulted with Federal and Provincial Governments in areas of Labour- Management Relations, Supervisory Training, Leadership Training and Retirement Counselling.Special interests and expertise include Workplace Interventions, Harassment Complaint Investigations, Dispute Resolution and Personal and Performance Assessments.

Brian MacLean, Ph.D, R.Psych.
Dr. Maclean received his Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa and has been involved in clinical work for almost forty years. He has been a Registered Psychologist since 1986. His training at the graduate and post doctoral level has included assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults. He has provided psychological services in both clinical and school settings in Ontario, the United States, and British Columbia. For the past twelve years, Dr. MacLean has been in private practice in Victoria, B.C. In the treatment of psychological and a number of medical disorders, he employees Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, in addition to Biofeedback and Neurofeedback (EEG Biofeedback), as well as Clinical Hypnosis and Progressive Relaxation strategies.
Dr. MacLean offers psychological service to children, adolescents, adults and couples (relationship/marital therapy). Treatment of disorders of attention (ADHD), anxiety, depression and trauma are of special interest to Dr. MacLean.
As part of the Mind-Body approach practiced by Dr. MacLean, he has employed Mindfulness methods in his clinical practice for over thirty years, and has instructed individuals and groups in Mindfulness Meditation practices for over forty years.
Dr. MacLean is a member of the British Columbia Psychological Association. He is certified in Neurofeedback and Biofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, the gold-standard in competence for providers of Biofeedback and Neurofeedback services. He is a member of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB).

Jenny MacSween, BA.
Jenny MacSween currently holds an Honors Psychology degree, and is pursuing graduate studies in Neuropsychology at the University of Victoria. She is currently employed as a psychometrist and is involved in several research initiatives through the University of Victoria and Vancouver Island Health Authority.
Lise McLewin, Ph.D, R.Psych.
Dr. McLewin completed her doctoral studies in Clinical-Developmental Psychology at York University, and a one-year clinical internship in London, Ontario with the London Clinical Psychology Internship Consortium. She has worked with children, adolescents, and their parents in a variety of settings, including outpatient mental health clinics, inpatient mental health hospitals, and the school district.
With a solid understanding of child and adolescent development and psychopathology, Dr. McLewin provides both assessment and intervention services. Psychological and psychoeducational assessments may evaluate child development, learning, behavioral, or mental health concerns. Dr. McLewin works in treatment with children, adolescents, and their caregivers around a variety of presenting issues, which may include anxiety, depression, trauma, social skills, or behavioral concerns. Dr. McLewin's primary modality is Cognitive-Behavioral, although she may integrate other approaches as appropriate (e.g., Client-Centred, Mindfulness, Collaborative Problem-Solving).

Tanna Mellings, Ph.D, R.Psych.
Dr. Mellings has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of British Columbia. She completed her doctoral internship training at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto.
She has worked in mental health at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Halifax Nova Scotia and the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, B.C., as well as in private practice with Hayes Psychological Services in Halifax, N.S. Her particular interests are in the assessment and treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders. She is also interested in the treatment of stress and stress-related difficulties, and anger management. Her primary clinical orientation is Cognitive-Behavioural and she also has experience with Interpersonal Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Dr. Mellings conducts both individual and group treatment. Dr. Mellings has worked with A.T. Malcolm and Associates since 2003.

Agnes Sawchyn, Ph.D, R.Psych.
Dr. Agnes Sawchyn completed her training in Clinical Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan, with emphasis on interpersonal/psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural models of assessment and intervention.
Dr. Sawchyn has practiced in the area of Clinical Psychology for ten years, providing psychological assessment and psychotherapy services in outpatient settings for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, pain management, posttraumatic stress, sequelae of child sexual abuse, grief, and relationship difficulties. She is experienced in the provision of individual, couple and group therapy.
Former placements include Psychologist and Director at Student Counseling Services, University of Saskatchewan and Clinical Psychologist with Mental Health Services in Whitehorse, where she was responsible for developing and implementing mental health services for children and adolescents.
Dr. Sawchyn is a Registered Psychologist (CPBC #01530). She is also registered with the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology (Registration #05377) and holds a Certificate of Professional Qualification in Psychology from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (Certificate #3526).
